Going on vacation while songs fly and musicians die…

Several things are going on and I need a brain break. So, I’m taking it. I will be in California from now until January 20th, 2012.

While I might be here, there is a lot going on with me right now. So… here it is…
- “A Second Thought” is on all Delta Airlines flights (domestic and international) on the “Hello Music” channel. If you inform me whether my name appears in the in-flight video and if I’m mentioned in the in-flight magazine, I will email you that piece at no charge as my gift to you for your help.
- Tim Silven died earlier this month (hopefully if you knew him as I did, you already heard about it). I would feel horrible if you were also a close friend and found out through this email. Anyway, I’m helping to raise money both by doing a benefit concert on January 28th, 2012 in Baker City, OR at a pub called Bull Ridge; and through CD sales.

$5 from each CD sold will be donated to a fund for Tim Silven. His body is not yet up to Oregon, and many of his personal belongings are still in Guatemala. It will be a significant expense to his family to gather his belongings and him and get them to Baker City to execute his final wishes.

Prices are $15 for one CD, $25 for two and $35 for three plus $5 domestic S&H, and I will send you a quote for international shipping. If you want to order, you may send it to me via Paypal (to louis.lamp@gmail.com – this address) or send me a PMO or check to:

Sleep through Louis’ music in the mile high club!

Written by Brian Pickett

Have you been on a recent flight and heard a lulling tune that helps you get through all that turbulence without white-knuckling the seat in front of you, the stewardess trying to pass in the aisle or that little bag (yeah, that bag you used like you were supposed to) they keep tucked in the pocket of the seat with all the claw marks? Pay close attention, because it could well be that you’re listening to up and coming Beethoven-emulating Louis Lamp, with his recently released EP, Constellation Cockroach!

The song is A Second Thought, which was selected to be added to the line-up for music played during the flights of all the Delta Airlines fleet in January and February 2012. But you don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars to fly out of town just to hear this great tune, when you can purchase it for yourself online and start listening, right now.

And, if that’s not enough for those of you stalkers fixated on Mr. Lamp, you will also have a chance to see him on an episode of NBC’s Grimm, beginning in December. Or you can check the NCRAR (National Center for Rehabilitative Auditory Research) website to see what news or photos might be offered up in regards to their latest test subject, who will be a lab rat for them once again starting this December or next January.
